Snow Patrol headline huge outdoor gig in Northern Ireland next summer

Dave Hanratty

Snow Patrol Ward Park 2019

A one-day mini-festival with a hell of a bill.

Snow Patrol have enjoyed a productive 2018 with the release of latest album Wildness and a host of Irish gigs that packed ’em in across the world.

Just last week they sold out Dublin’s 3Arena and they’ve already made plans for Malahide next June with The Kooks in support.

Turning their attention up north, they’ve gone one better as they get set to headline a major one-day bash at Ward Park in Bangor, County Down.

It marks the third time that the band have topped the bill at this venue, with their previous gig in 2010 going down as the biggest show to have ever taken place in Northern Ireland.

Their return comes on Saturday 25 May and they’re bringing quite a lot of company with them.

Joining Snow Patrol on the day will be Foy Vance, Ash, SOAK, Jealous of the Birds, Brand New Friend, JC Stewart, The Wood Burning Savages, Kitt Philippa and ROE.

That’s really quite the line-up, in fairness.

Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide.

Yet another big gig to add to a summer already heaving with them…
