Spice up Croker.
After the Spice Girls (minus Posh) announced their comeback tour last week, many were left scratching their heads that the six-stadium tour didn’t include a night in Dublin.
Well, now we know why.
Organisers MCD announced on Friday morning that the world’s most iconic girlband will be returning to Ireland to play Croke Park on 24 May, 2019. This means that, as things stand now, Croker will be the girls’ return gig — coming a week before their first show in the UK.
With a capacity of 82,000, Croker is grandest possible setting for a return of the Spice Girls. Whether they end up creating enough demand for five nights like Garth Brooks did and plunging the country into turmoil remains to be seen.
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale next Thursday. We can see these ones selling out fast.
