Spotify users have gone nuts listening to George Michael since his passing

George Michael, a true pop legend, passed away on Christmas Day this year.

In the hours and days since his death, he has been remembered as a man who went out of his way to help others, an LGBT icon, and a merchant of absolute bangers. Spotify confirmed to TMZ that George Michaels streams have increased by a staggering 3,158% overnight between the 25th and 26th of December. The man wrote no shortage of classics, with Last Christmas, Careless Whisper, Faith, Freedom and Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go — as sang on the belter Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me, with Elton John.
