Two decades in the making.
The Stone Roses caused a flurry of excitement on Thursday when they confirmed that they would be releasing new material for the first time in 21 years.
The Manchester band, who will be performing a series of gigs over the summer months, including in Dublin (Get in!) remain ridiculously popular to this day despite having released only two studio albums and breaking up 20 years ago.
That popularity is down to the act that the music on those albums is pretty damn special and though it is always takes a few listens to determine the quality of new material, we like what we’re hearing from the new song, All for One.
You can listen to it on Spotify here.
The reaction on social media was mixed and while there were plenty of positive reviewes, there were more than a few dissenting voices.
What’s the verdict?
Nice work boys. The world just got better xxx #StoneRoses

It sounds a bit like a theme tune. For a friendly Top Gear.
