2023 has been a busy year for Jack Black, between his scene stealing voice turn as Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie and his cult rock band Tenacious D embarking on their Spicy Meatball world tour.
And things don’t appear to be slowing down for Black. Not only does he have roles in the 2024 movies Borderlands and Kung Fu Panda 4, but The Spicy Meatball Tour will be heading to Europe over next April and May.
Tenacious D are recording a new song for Kung Fu Panda 4
That’s not all the actor, comedian and musician has the horizon, however. In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter (THR) to discuss the runaway success of his song ‘Peaches’ from the Super Mario film, he revealed that there will be more movie soundtrack work for him in the future.
Though next time, he will be joined by Tenacious D bandmate Kyle Gass. Speaking about the rock duo, the told THR:
“We’ve been working on a couple of things. I got a new Kung Fu Panda coming out next year, and they asked if we would do a song for the credits.”
Even better, Tenacious D fans should not have to wait to long to hear the new track.
This is as Kung Fu Panda 4 is slated for release in Irish and UK cinemas relatively soon in March 2024.
