Created by the people behind South Park, one of the biggest musicals in the world is coming to Dublin.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the two men behind South Park, are some of the most unique minds in the movie/TV business.
And when we say they’re behind South Park, we mean that they created it, they voiced almost all of the characters, they write the show, and they are the executive producers.
But what you may or may not know, is that they are also responsible for one of the most popular musicals of the past number of years.
The Book of Mormon completely takes the piss out of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ beliefs and practices, while also preaching the fact that the religion ultimately endorses the positive power of love and service.
It’s brilliant, it’s original, and it’s coming to Dublin!
The news was announced on Monday via the musical’s official Facebook page, with almost no other information being released.
And even though we don’t know when it’s coming to Ireland just yet, you can join the waiting list for the musical here.
The musical absolutely swept the 2011 Tony Awards, taking home a whopping NINE prizes on the night, including Best Musical.
