The Boss pays tribute to just about everyone after the end of world tour

Bruce Springsteen can do little wrong in the eyes of most Irish fans and this thank you note will only add to his reputation.

Bruce Springsteen can do little wrong in the eyes of most Irish fans and this thank you note will only add to his reputation.

After 133 shows, his Wrecking Ball global tour came to an end last month, including some memorable gigs in Ireland during the summer and more than three million tickets were sold in 26 countries to see one of the great musicians in full flow.

Springsteen took to his own website to thank all his supporters, and many others beside in what was both heartfelt and at times lighthearted.

“To all the tramps and travellers who exposed themselves night after night to the long flights, the long drives, the long queuing, the rain, the sleeplessness in order to inspire and fuel us from band centre, we appreciate it.”

He goes on to thank everyone who made the gigs so memorable for all concerned, bringing joy and humour to the band as well as vice versa.

“You have reignited in us a great passion for what we do. We’ll do our best to honour it. So, until we meet again, stay hard…and we’ll see you up the road,” he concludes.

Some man, some musician.

Here is the note in full.
