Locals around GAA HQ have had enough, and they have may to try and block the number of gigs held at the venue.

It looks like that fifth Garth Brooks concert was the straw that broke the residents back. According to reports on Newstalk, residents in the surrounding area of Croker are considerign legal action over the number of concerts to be played there this year.

Clonliffe and Croke Park Area Residents Association spokesperson Patrick Gates told the station that they are angry and they are considering their options. Listen to the interview here.

With a full programme of GAA games, plus a College Football game from the US and three One Direction gigs, it is going to be a busy summer down on Jones’ Road but if they manage to get even one of Brooks’ big days cancelled, we fully expect to see a crowd of pitch-fork wielding country music fans headed for Croker to protest.

This could get interesting….
