Who’s heading to Ballinlough Castle in June?

British electro-pop outfit Metronomy and American alt-country collective Lambchop are amongst the first acts to be announced for the Body and Soul festival in Westmeath this summer.

The festival returns to Ballinlough Castle for an eighth year from 23-25 June, with Vitalic, La Femme, Elaine Mai and Kelly-Anne Byrne also confirmed to perform over the weekend.

Festival goers will get to see a newly-commissioned Body & Soul main stage for the first time, while the Food on Board area will return and expand in 2017 following huge success in its inaugural year last year.

Festival Director Avril Stanley said: “We’re excited to announce the first batch of acts set to join our ever-expanding music and arts programme. We’re taking Body&Soul back to its original ethos – being an incubator of great ideas and being ahead of the curve, presenting people, acts and ideas that we love and want to showcase. This is just the first announcement of many, so stay tuned!”
