The girl who lost her job to go to Electric Picnic has been offered a lot of new ones

Great news for the girl who sacrificed her job for music

Great news for the girl who sacrificed her job for music…

Yesterday we had the story of the girl who was let go from her job because she was going to Electric Picnic in Stradbally this weekend.

We thought that this was entirely unfair on poor Emily Culhane as she had given three weeks notice to her employer prior to the festival.

But luckily, things are looking up for the Limerick native as JOE caught up with her earlier today and learned that she has been offered a new job, and not just one it seems…

Emily has been offered no less than four jobs in the fallout from her now famous Facebook post yesterday which quickly went viral on social media.

“One was a bar, one is a cafe and one is a recruitment job,” Emily said, “I’ll look into them all definitely and see what the story is with them”.

Another offer came live on air on the Eoghan McDermott show on RTÉ 2FM this evening, where the manager of the Library bar in Limerick, named Paul, phoned in and offered her a job.

Speaking on the show, Paul said, “There’s a job for her when she comes back from Electric Picnic. There are a few options there for her. Firstly, starting behind the bar. Let’s see how it goes with her.”

As for Emily, while she can’t believe the recognition her Facebook post has attracted over the last day, she seems happy enough with how it’s all turned out.

” [It] just shows you can turn anything into something good in the end.”

Indeed it does…
