The late David Bowie leads Mercury Music Prize nominations

Still so sadly missed.

David Bowie’s final album Blackstar has been nominated for a Mercury Music Prize, having been released just days before he died in January.

The prize recognises the best UK or Irish album of the last 12 months and Blackstar will compete with LPs from Radiohead, Laura Mvula, The 1975, Savages and Bat For Lashes.
