The legendary Rory Gallagher would have turned 68 today, here are 5 of his best tunes

Colm Boohig

One of the greatest guitarists of all time.

“How does it feel to be the best guitarist in the world?”

“Umm, I don’t know… ask Rory Gallagher.”

The famous quote by the iconic Jimi Hendrix still rings true to this day and if you haven’t explored much of the great Rory Gallgher’s music, you should throw on a few of his tunes, because they’re something else altogether.

The Donegal-born, Cork-raised Gallagher has sold over 30 million albums and produced some of the most fantastic Blues/Rock music ever, before sadly passing away in 1995 due to liver transplant complications.

Gallagher remains a mystery to many people to this day, so, to celebrate what would have been his 68th birthday, here are five of his best tunes.

Whether you’re a massive fan or know little about the man, you’d do well to browse through these amazing songs from down the years.

Enjoy.
