The Script may have broken a very fitting Guinness World Record in celebration of St. Patrick's Day
Sláinte...
In a move clearly inspired by The Late Late Show, The Script rang in St. Patrick's Day by picking up the tab on what might be the largest round of drinks in history.
Excitable frontman Danny O'Donoghue made sure every single fan in attendance on Saturday got a free drink token before the Brussels leg of the Freedom Child world tour kicked off.
Cue over 8,000 people raising a glass in honour of St. Patrick.
"We didn't think you guys celebrated Patrick's Day here, so we fucking brought it ourselves," said O'Donoghue.
"And to do that, we wanted to set a world record for the biggest round of drinks," he added, before leading the crowd in a chorus of 'Sláinte!' as a lead-in to 'Paint The Town Green.'
We just bought the biggest round of drinks in history, on #StPatricksDay for everyone at our show in Brussels tonight… Sláinte 🍻☘ #PaintTheWorldGreen #FreedomChildTour pic.twitter.com/wkhHO5zxZX

Job done, and we'll have to wait and see if the Guinness World Records crew verify the claim.
At this rate, The Script might even achieve their lofty world peace ambitions, eh?
