The Sunday Sessions: Vance Joy performs class brand new track ‘Mess Is Mine’

This lad is pretty unbelievable live...

JOE

Vance Joy has been on JOE’s radar for quite sometime and earlier in the week we met up with the much-loved Melbourne music maker.

Vance Joy, whose real name is James Keogh (yes, he has Irish blood in him), played his first headline gig in Ireland at Dublin’s Academy on Monday night, a show which sold out in minutes.

Hailed by Billboard as one of the ‘Top 10 Artists Making Global Noise’, Joy released his eagerly awaited debut album, ‘Dream Your Life Away‘, just two weeks ago.

The 26-year-old has already enjoyed Top 10 success across Ireland and Europe with debut EP, ‘God Loves You When You’re Dancing’ and his phenomenal hit track ‘Riptide’ has been on Irish airplay for just over a year.

Vance performed an acoustic version of track, ‘Mess is Mine’, the third single to be taken from his debut record.

Vance sits down with Grace O’Reilly from our sister site Her.ie to chat about success, songwriting, his alias and being a huge Savage Garden fan (no judgement here).

With a five-album Atlantic Record deal under his belt, we will be seeing and hearing a lot more of Vance Joy.

For more information on the Aussie sensation you can check out Vance’s Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram or vancejoy.com.

The Sunday Sessions promises to bring you special performances and interviews from some of the most exciting emerging talent. Next week we return with some phenomenal homegrown talent.
