Brían hails from Leitrim Village in County Leitrim, which is better known for being a stop-off point on the Shannon for thirsty, boating holiday-makers than music.
He told JOE that he moved to the US in 2012 after a J1 summer led to a chance encounter with an LA promoter called Scott Marconi. He's currently based out of New York but he's home for Christmas to see the family and play some music. That seems to be a
recurring theme this Yuletide.
He plays Whelans in Dublin on 5 January on what looks like
a very exciting bill alongside Chicago-born singer/songwriter, Emily Cavanagh and we might see you there.
