Róisín Malone was on a J1 when she landed her dream job.

“I was in LA last with the dream of becoming a singer/songwriter,” the Skerries native told JOE. “I had a job to pay bills but when I went in search of meeting some people to make music with, I found Mophonics in Venice Beach.”

Mophonics are an LA music and sound talent agency who include the likes of Foster The People’s, Mark Foster on their books.

She hopes this is the start of her songwriting career in America.

“I have a good library of tracks now with different ranges in genre but my personal favourite style is folk/pop.

“I’ve made some cool connections over my time here and even to work at The Village Studios where Coldplay recorded recently. ”
