Three Irish acts among the 12 nominees for this year’s Mercury Prize

The nominees for the prestigious Mercury Prize for best UK and Irish album of the year have been announced.

The awesome Young Fathers won the award last year and previous winners include Alt-J, Primal Scream, James Blake and The xx.

BBC 6 Music presenter Lauren Laverne revealed the list this morning and three Irish artists have made the final 12. Here’s the full list:
