Ah here…
U2 will bring their Joshua Tree tour to Croke Park on July 22 this year and tickets for the concert went on sale at 9am this morning.
Despite many people queuing and logging on early this morning in the hope of getting tickets, a lot of fans were left disappointed when they couldn’t secure tickets for the gig.
Fans who subscribed to U2’s official website had the opportunity to access the ticket portal last Wednesday, but some others weren’t so lucky.
There is no end to love for the band and that was evident as individual tickets sold out soon after they went on sale this morning. Although at the time of writing, there are still some package tickets available for in excess of €1,000.
While, officially, the tickets are sold out, a large portion of tickets are now being sold through sites like Seatwave (Ticketmaster’s official ticket exchange) and Done Deal, with many people charging exorbitant prices for the tickets.
No U2 tickets on official site, but plenty for €1,000 via tout sites. Wonder what public appetite for Brazil-style anti-tout law would be.

On Seatwave, tickets for a standing ticket in front of the stage are being sold for a whopping €800.
