Travis The Man Who Dublin gig

Another chance to catch an album that definitely cropped up in your house at some stage…

Good news for fans of turn-of-the-century indie as Travis will now perform their iconic album The Man Who over two nights in Dublin before the year is out.

Having previously announced an Olympia Theatre headliner for Sunday 9 December, the Scottish outfit will extend their stay with an extra show the following night.

Tickets priced from €44.05 for the Monday 10 December engagement are on sale now via Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide.

The dates will mark 19-and-a-half years of the beloved album, with the band apparently so excited that they just couldn’t wait another few months for the 20th anniversary to roll around.

“Songs are like emotional bookmarks in time,” says frontman Fran Healy.

“When you hear a song you are transported to those times and feel strong echoes of the feelings you felt.

“Rarely does an album have this ability so performing The Man Who is going to be a joyous occasion.”
