U2 put on an incredible show for their Irish fans at Croke Park on Saturday night.
If you were lucky enough to be there, U2’s performance of ‘One’ in front of a packed Croke Park was among the many highlights of a very special night.
GAA Headquarters lit up like a bonfire late into the night as Bono, The Edge, Larry Mullen and Adam Clayton absolutely nailed their homecoming on The Joshua Tree tour.
Croke Park and U2 have always fit together like hand-in-glove, ever since the band’s first show at the iconic stadium in 1985 right through to their last appearance on the 360° Tour in 2009.
Saturday night, however, was arguably their greatest show yet as they rolled back the clock to play the tunes that turned them into a global phenomenon, from the opening bars of ‘Sunday Bloody Sunday’ all the way to this, ‘One’, filmed by our own Paddy McKenna.

The band also had support from a little known singer-songwriter from Manchester, one Noel Gallagher, for whom we are predicting big things.

The atmosphere throughout the night was electric…

…and it didn’t let up on what was one of THE great nights in the history of Irish music.

We even had the flyover.
