Teresa has gone global.
Before Saturday evening, Teresa Mannion was merely a humble RTE News reporter. Now she’s a global sensation.
Teresa’s courageous weather reporting in extreme conditions in Galway on Saturday has gone viral around the world in the last few days and if having to pose for hundreds of selfies in Ballina wasn’t enough of an illustration of her new-found fame, she now has an endorsement (of sorts) from a global superstar.
A fan account dedicated to actress and singer Ariana Grande on Twitter published a video today taken from Ariana’s Snapchat account showing her watching a video of Teresa’s report and imitating it with one of her dancers afterwards.

The quality of the video isn’t great and the speed of the video doesn’t do much for Teresa’s voice, but Ariana certainly seemed to get a major kick out of it in any case.
Sure she’s laughing now, but we’d like to see if Ariana could cut it on a wet and windy Tuesday night on the Salthill prom and still be smiling afterwards.
