Coldplay make the banal extraordinary with the video for their new single Up&Up.
If Coldplay’s music stopped being particularly interesting roughly ten years ago, they still make a damn fine video.
‘Up&Up’ is your standard iPhone-in-the-air torchsong for people who stopped being interested in music around the time they made their first morgage payment.
If you can stand Chris Martin warbling about uniting the world and ‘getting together’ for a few minutes of your Monday, however, the video is well worth your time.
We’ll very happily watch this on mute for the afternoon.
