Video: Electric Picnic goers will want to see Foil, Arms and Hog’s excellent sketch about buying festival tickets

Granted, not all festival goers are as cynical as this, but you can be sure that a few people went through a situation similar to the one envisaged here ahead of the Electric Picnic this weekend.

Thousands of music lovers will descend upon Stradbally for the annual Electric Picnic festival today and while some of them will have ensured their tickets from the minute they went on sale, others would have had to beg, borrow and steal to make sure they’re not going to miss out.

Unfortunately, cynical world that we live in, there are quite a number of people who exploit the desperation of concert and festival goers for their own financial gain, a group of people who are the subject of this very amusing sketch by Irish comedy trio Foil, Arms and Hog that has arrived just in time for the Electric Picnic.

‘I cannot believe you are actually going to go to the festival.’

If you happen to run into people like this in Stradbally this weekend, by all means feel free to give them a kick up the arse. Oh, and enjoy yourselves. We’re not in any way jealous, not in any way jealous at all.
