Video: Faroese band took advantage of the eclipse to record this music video

Granted, we haven’t got a clue what they’re saying…

We hope your Faroese is up to scratch…

Hamferð are a Faroese doom metal band from Tórshavn, in the Faroe Islands, and they decided to take advantage of the strange celestial goings on that occurred last Friday, aka. The Spring Eclipse.

Instead of putting on stupid looking glasses and staring at the sun whilst saying, ‘Oh, yeah, I totally see it now!’, as they quickly scan the sky in the hopes of finding whatever it is that everyone else was looking at, Hamferð decided it would be a good idea to record a music video for their track, Deyðir Varðar.

Apparently, that means Death’s Purpose (or something along those lines) in English. They are a ‘doom metal’ band, after all…

Unfortunately for the lads, while recording a music video during a two-minute eclipse sounds great on paper, they did have their backs turned to the eclipse the entire time.
