Video: Glen Hansard sings beautiful version of The Auld Triangle with a capella singing group from Trinity College

This is just gorgeous.

This is just gorgeous.

In a few days’ time, punters on Grafton Street in Dublin will likely be treated to Glen Hansard doing his annual spot of busking on Christmas Eve and it appears he was getting some practise in earlier this week.

JOE reader Ian Fitzpatrick got in touch to tell us that he was walking through George’s Arcade in Dublin yesterday when he came across the Frames frontman listening to a group of a capella singers from Trinity College.

After they finished their set they invited Glen to come and sing with them and he sang a few songs, including a beautiful version of The Auld Triangle, a song that he regularly performs live, as he did with Damien Dempsey during the #Right2Water protest in Dublin earlier this month.

Ian tells us that as well as joining the lads for a few songs, he gave a very generous donation as well, confirming what we already knew, that the man is an absolute legend.

Fair play to you, Glen.

Hat-tip to Ian Fitzpatrick for sending this one our way
