One of JOE’s favourite musicians is planning a solo album next year, so here’s a little teaser
Damon Albarn has announced that he will be releasing his first solo album in 2014, and while the exact date is still to be confirmed, here’s a little teaser of what we can expect from Albarn.
Albarn has already sold over 30 million records worldwide through his various projects including blur, Gorillaz, and The Good The Bad And The Queen, and he is most certainly one of the most influential and consistently interesting musicians around these days.
Albarn revealed that he was making a solo album in May, telling Rolling Stone that he was working with producer and XL Records label boss Richard Russell. “Richard does the rhythmic side, and I do everything else,” Albarn said. “It’s sort of folk soul.”
