Video: Irish dancing, technology and Barberstown Castle all feature in this hypnotic performance

The Fusion Fighters Presents: Fusion Orchestra

Oisin Collins

Now this is very cool…

The guys from The Fusion Fighters recently released their latest video that features Irish dancing, tap dancing, body percussion and techy performance platforms that remind us of the Dance Dance Revolution pads.

The video was shot in Barberstown Castle in Straffan, County Kildare, and we have to say, it looks great (both the video and the hotel).

Here’s what the Fusion Fighters (Chris Naish, Brian McGrane, James Devine, Michael Donnellan and David Geaney) had to say about the video: “In our latest project ‘Fusion Orchestra’ we were challenged to put together a new video project in the space of 7 days from start to finish.

“On top of that we had a documentary crew filming our process to see how we would make it happen. My aim was to show off the individual styles the 5 performers had to offer, while still anchoring the piece with our unique Irish fusion choreography (Irish, Tap, Body Percussion).

“Also to challenge the way we present our performance by thinking of new ways to include technology. The result was five custom made performance platforms and the use of studio beats, sound effects & lights that are triggered through responsive pads on the platforms & costumes.”

H/T to Gary Collins for sending this our way…
