Any fan of Noel Gallagher will know that the High Flying Birds frontman has nothing but love for U2 because has has frequently been quoted as saying that Bono is one of the best lyricists of all-time.
I’d be fairly confident in saying that the U2 singer and Noel have shared a few drinks over the years – red wine for Bono and a few pints for Noel obviously – but the depth of their friendship was once again seen when Gallagher went to see the band perform in London’s o2 Arena recently but he wasn’t alone.
Apart from being Bono’s artistic muse, his wife Ali has also done some incredible humanitarian work for charities and organisations such as Greenpeace and the Chernobyl Children’s Project International, and it seems that she was more than happy to keep Gallagher company for the evening.
Take a look at the great footage of Noel just watching the gig like a normal music fan as he dances and sings along to one of U2’s best songs, their incredibly rousing anthem ‘Bad’.
