Guess they’ll be rollin’ on home.
Over 100 Limp Bizkit fans were tricked into attending a hoax gig, which was scheduled for April 20 2017 and billed as taking place at a petrol station in Ohio.
The band’s lead singer (and, at times, rapper) Fred Durst caught wind of the fake gig and did his best to dissuade fans from attending, saying of the show:
“NOT TRUE – don’t let them pull one on you.”
Dozens of Limp Bizkit fans simply didn’t care what Durst had to say, and headed for the filling station in Sunoco, Dayton.
Eventually, the whole mess came to a head after the owners of the station called the police in order to disperse the crowd, who were blocking entrance to the station.

Andy Rowe who organised the event, told the Daily Beast “I have never laughed so hard like I have these last two days, yet understood so little about why it’s funny in the first place. I keep asking myself, ‘Why does it seem like the whole world is bent on seeing Limp Bizkit play at this gas station?’”
