And the winner is…

After hundreds of entries, a hotly-contested public vote and a live final before a packed house in Whelan’s, we can now reveal that the winner of the 2016 Le Crunch Apple of My Eye Song Contest is…

*drum roll please*

Brave Giant!

The very talented Longford lads walked away with €2,000 after ap-peeling to our judges with their brilliant mashup cover of ‘Is This Digital Love?’

Pipped to the post on the night were Badger Hill, The Renegades, Caz Music and Zena, all of whom walked away with €125 for their troubles.

Speaking after the event, Sandrine Gaborieau, Marketing Director of Le Crunch said, “the response to the Apple of My Eye was once again immense and we’d like to thank everyone from all over Ireland who entered this year. As usual, there was a very difficult choice to be made by the judges but we feel that Brave Giant just pipped the other finalists to the post. We’d like to wish them the very best in what we all hope will be a long and successful career for them.”

We fully agree, best of luck with everything on the future, lads.
