Video: The Frames put on a free bar and covered the Pixies at their gig in Whelan's last night
Glen Hansard and the lads put on a very good night in Dublin...
The Frames played a special gig as part of Whelan's 25th anniversary celebrations in Dublin last night and the lucky people who got to head along were given a hell of a night by the band.
JOE has seen The Frames a good few times down through the years and there's no doubt about it, they're one of the best live bands in the country, so that's a good start. The band were three songs into their set when Glen Hansard made an announcement...
The frames are playing Whelans tonight & after the 3rd song Hansard announced to the crowd that the bar was on them for the night! #legends

The Frames and a free bar! Could the night get any better? The answer is yes.
As well as playing all their own music, they played a brilliant cover version of the Pixies classic "Where is my Mind" and this fan, who was in the best spot in the house, captured it on video...
What a night, we're not half sickened that we weren't there but what a sound bunch of lads The Frames are, fair play.
