Video: Three lads put an Irish twist on some classic Christmas carols

Love them or hate them you’re going to hear nothing but Wham and Chris Rea for the next few weeks, so the RaboDirect Straight Singing Xmas Choir have decided to put an Irish slant on some Christmas classics.

Love them or hate them you’re going to hear nothing but Wham and Chris Rea for the next few weeks, so the RaboDirect Straight Singing Xmas Choir have decided to put an Irish slant on some Christmas classics.

The RaboDirect Straight Singing Xmas Choir, better known as the Irish comedy group Foil, Arms & Hog, have given a contemporary makeover to some of our favourite Christmas tunes including, Deck the Halls, Jingle Bells and Walking in the Air, or as they put it ‘Shopping in the Square’.

It’s quite funny…

Here’s what RaboDirect had to say on YouTube: “It’s about time the classic carols received a contemporary makeover. Hark? Yule? Come ye?… Who speaks like that?

“We’ve taken our reputation for straight talk, dressed it in jumpers and set it to a three-part harmony. Enjoy the RaboDirect Straight Singing Christmas Choir.”
