Video: Two brothers write awesome 80s-inspired song begging their brother not to get married

Musical bros before hoes. Every time.

JOE wishes we had brothers like these guys. If we did, we’d undoubtedly leave any potential life-long mate in a flash.

Ahead of their brother’s impending nuptials recently, two musically-talented bros (and their Dad) decided to write and film a piece of pure 80s pop perfection, pleading with their sibling to not marry the love of his life, Helen.

Musical bros before hoes. Every time.

The two brothers, known only as Baddy Paris and Rufus Starlight had this to say on their excellently-assembled website:

“Our brother asked us to be his best men for his wedding. We knew the hardest thing would be doing a traditional best man’s speech, because we would cry too much.  So instead, we made a music video – a plea not to leave us!

Which he did, regardless. We hope this will forever celebrate their super-stylish wedding day, in the super-stylish way it deserves.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone on the team who sweated blood to make this work, especially Ferris & Gavin;  without their genius Baddy wouldn’t look half as cool.

Robin & Helen: we wish you many many years of love and happiness!  Xxxxxx”

The band go to say that the video for “We Are Brothers” not only defined a music video genre, but it has also been credited, by somebody, as inspiring 80s icons such as The Human League, Gary Numan, Kraftwerk, Heaven 17, ABC, George Michael, David Hasselhoff, and Tom Cruise.

Obvious really when you see the brilliant clip below, so stop doing your bassoon practise, throw on your best figure-hugging lycra wedding suit and get ready to travel back to the 80s.
