The band gave blistering renditions of Volcano and Every Breaking Wave…
Later with Jools Holland has become an institution in JOE’s TV schedule and last night’s show was arguably the strongest line-up so far this season.
New York rockers Interpol were brilliant, while Sam Smith performed a cracking version of his hit song Money on My Mind.
Zola Jesus and Dave and Phil Alvin from The Blasters were also impressive but the big draw was U2 and the lads didn’t disappoint.
Bono continued to be the scourge of cameramen around the world by getting up close and personal during the brilliant rendition of Volcano; their lighting set-up is a thing to behold.
Then he and the Edge were accompanied by a string ensemble for a rendition of Every Breaking Wave.
Take a look.
