WATCH: Foo Fighters announce Glastonbury headlining with secret 3-hour gig

Rory Cashin

It wasn’t even a year ago when the members of Foo Fighters said they were going on an indefinite hiatus, but you just can’t keep a good band down.

Following a mysterious countdown on their official website, Dave Grohl and co. announced that they would be one of the headlining acts of Glastonbury 2017, and they’ll be performing on Saturday 24 June.

They then performed a secret (and lengthy!) gig in non-profit venue Cheese & Grain, which is just down the road from Worthy Farm, where Glastonbury takes place, and they live-stream the whole thing.

Radiohead have also been confirmed as a headline act, while the third headliner is still to be announced, with the current front-runners for the slot being Ed Sheeran and Depeche Mode.
