WATCH: Footage released from U2’s Dublin concert looks absolutely incredible

Alan Loughnane

It looked epic…

U2 blew the roof off Croke Park at the weekend when they played the Dublin leg of their Joshua Tree Tour.

From the moment Larry Mullen appeared on stage on Saturday, fans were treated to something special. A stripped back rock classic from one of the most successful bands in the world.

Love them or hate them, and judging by social media comments there seems to be a lot of people with their feet firmly in the latter category, they have a massive following and after a concert like Saturday, it’s easy to see why.

Croke Park is an old stomping ground for this band. They’ve graced the arena as often as some of the weaker GAA counties have over the years beginning in 1985 and ending with their 360° Tour in 2009.

It’s familiar. It’s special. It’s U2 in Croke Park.
