The news that has been wanted for over two decades.

Irish fans of The Stone Roses already have the band’s Marlay Park gig in Dublin on July 9 to look forward to, and now this is the news that everyone has wanted for a long time.

The lead singer of the iconic Manchester band, Ian Brown, has confirmed with NME that the group are recording new material – an extremely long overdue follow-up to their last album in 1994 – to coincide with their upcoming summer tour.

You can watch the short and sweet video below of the man himself who, without giving too much away, pretty much says exactly what we all want to hear.
