WATCH: Liam Gallagher makes young Irish fans’ day with wonderful gesture

Alan Loughnane

What a great thing to do…

Liam Gallagher played a sold-out gig in the Olympia Theatre on Saturday night in front of what was a very enthusiastic crowd.

It was enthusiastic because people realised just how lucky they were to be there as the demand for tickets far outstretched the available supply.

But there were six more young men in attendance who were probably a little more enthusiastic than most, and that was because they weren’t even supposed to be at the gig originally.

The group of young fellas met Liam Gallagher in Dublin while the rocker was getting into his waiting car, and he took some time out his day to chat to the fellas and sign a number of items for them.

But upon hearing that none of the group had managed to nab tickets for his show in the Olympia, he decided that he couldn’t let the group miss his show.

The former Oasis frontman performed a memorable show and paid a special tribute to the victims of the Manchester attacks before his song, ‘Live Forever’. He said: “I want to dedicate this to the people who died in Manchester. This is for them”.
