We all know that Superman wears Paul O’Connell pyjamas because during his career in the colours of Munster and Ireland, the legendary lock was capable of putting the fear of god into anyone that crossed him.
O’Connell’s bravery, leadership and skills on the field can only be matched by his kindness and gentlemanly demeanor away from it. Everyone has their favourite Paul O’Connell story – we love the moment he offered these strangers a lift , recorded a message for a newlywed couple or provided the greatest photobomb of all-time – and Paulie has now popped up alongside one of our favourite bands.
Since his retirement, O’Connell has been a very welcome guest at the Ryder Cup, released a book and broke the internet following his remarkable answer on A Question of Sport – but the former Lions captain has now turned his attention to the world of music.
We’re huge fans of Hermitage Green – check out this really interesting interview with Dan about his time in North Korea – and we’re delighted to see that the band are back working on a new EP /workout video. Low and behold, a certain somebody showed up to offer some moral support to the lads.
O’Connell is well used to using stealth and craft when it comes to stealing away possession at the breakdown, and these skills came in handy at the 13:00 mark as he appears undetected. What a man.
