Westlife announce once-in-a-lifetime show at Wembley Stadium for next summer

Westlife have announced a once-in-a-lifetime show at Wembley Stadium for next summer.

The gig, which the band says would be their "biggest ever concert in the UK", will take place on 22 August, 2020. Taking to Instagram on Friday morning, the band said:

"We’re so excited to announce we’ll be playing a once in a lifetime show at Wembley Stadium! "We can't wait to see you all at our biggest ever concert in the UK."

Promoters MCD are holding a press conference on Monday about a "massive concert for 2020" that would be taking place in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. And, following rumours that the band are planning a massive world tour for 2020, many fans have begun to speculate that the headliners could be Westlife. It's worth noting that the concert promoters have said the headlining act will be attending the press conference - and Westlife have a gig in London the night before. So, that may rule them out - but we're keeping our fingers crossed that's not the case.
