Westlife set to play Croke Park next summer (Report)

Massive.

Now that Ed Sheeran and Westlife look set to collaborate on the group’s comeback single, all eyes are on what’s next for arguably Ireland’s favourite boyband and the lads won’t be in a world of their own as rumours are doing the rounds that they’re going to play Croke Park next year.

As they did with Metallica’s gig at Slane,  The Irish Sun are exclusively reporting that the beloved boyband will be returning to GAA HQ, seven years after they said farewell with two huge shows at the same venue.

Despite the fact that Brian McFadden looks set to take no part in the reunion, this proposed gig will undoubtedly sell out because as they’ve proven before, Westlife are more than capable of packing out the venue.

Of course, there’s a limit on the number of gigs that are allowed at the venue – Michael Buble, Taylor Swift and The Rolling Stones all performed there this year – but this would be quite the draw for the band’s many fans.

Confirmation of the gig will be eagerly awaited, but if you’re looking for an example of what they played during their last visit to Croker, here’s a taste.
