One of the funniest things you’ll watch today.
For some reason, throughout the history rap music, there has always been always been a weird relationship between the rapper and the sound engineer.
It happens so regularly that sometimes the two will have a full-blown conversation while the performer is recording a song, and it very often makes the final cut.
And these sketches made by television writer Caitie Delaney perfectly capture the weird phenomenon for exactly what it is: bizarre.
Sometimes it can be a light jovial bit of banter, but sometimes it can be strangely aggressive, like when Fat Joe was extremely displeased because he thought his mic wasn’t on:

Or sometimes it can be a polite encounter, like when Eminem calmly informed the team in his studio that he couldn’t hear the snare drum in his headphones:

But sometimes they can be downright terrifying, like this Chief Keef rant:

Sometimes you just have to let Jay-Z know that you’re not going to be able to “unleash the flutes on ’em”:

Finally, she pretends to be in the studio with Kanye West, which is always going to be an experience.

Incredible stuff.
