An irate Minister for Small Business, John Perry, hung up on a radio presenter during a live interview earlier today. We have the audio for you.
Minister Perry was being questioned by Niall Delaney on the North West local radio station Ocean FM over plans to restore breast cancer services to Sligo General Hospital when he decided enough was enough and hung up the phone.
The fuming minister had made a pre-election promise about the return of cancer services to the North West.
As we can hear from the audio, Mr Delaney plays back an interview clip form Februaury in which Minister Perry makes it clear that Sligo General Hospital would become a satellite facility of the Galway University Hospital within his first 100 days in Government.
June 17 will be the Government's 101st day in power and all the minister could do when questioned about the matter was mumbled the words "it's being debated at the moment" before cutting the econversation short.
