One third of Irish people believe that Leprechauns really exist, according to online poll carried out by Cooley Distillery.
The survey was produced ahead of the second annual National Leprechaun Hunt, which takes place in Carlingford, Co Louth on Sunday March 27th.
The amazing statistic showed that 33% of Irish people believed that Leprechauns may be based somewhere within the Republic, while up to 55% of those questioned believed that Leprechauns may have existed in Ireland at one time, but due to the current financial climate and lack of gold available, have been forced to emigrate in recent years.
Perhaps the Leprechauns work in those Cash for gold stalls around the country?
