Montgomery County Police made an unusual traffic stop this week in the US state of Maryland - none other than the Dark Knight, Batman himself.
Rather than Bruce Wayne's usual mode of transport - the Batmobile - this superhero imposter was pulled over in an admittedly still quite impressive black Lamborghini Gallardo. His crime? Improper license plates.
As it transpired, the back tag of the makeshift Batmobile had Batman's unmistakable emblem, rather than the state tags which are required by law. As such, police had to pull over the caped crusader, though he was nice enough to pose for a few photos (see above).
The police force, who evidently have a good sense of humour, later updated their official Facebook and Twitter accounts with the message: "Yes, Batman was stopped by MCPD on Wednesday, S/B Route 29 at Prelude Dr. for no tags on Batmobile."
The actual Batman that they pulled over is a man named Lenny B Robinson, who you'll be pleased to know is not actually a crazy person. He actually visits sick children in hospitals across the US and apparently has built a Bat Cave in his basement.
Granted, the second part of that sentence may suggest he's somewhat crazy, but we can't knock anyone that dresses as Batman, owns a Lamborghini and does great work for sick children.
