11 new Covid-19 cases confirmed, one further death

11 new cases of Covid-19 have been found in Ireland.

One person has died in relation to Covid-19 in Ireland in the past 24 hours.

The latest figures were released on Saturday evening.

It brings the total number of confirmed cases to 25,509, while the number of Covid-19 deaths in the Republic of Ireland now stands at 1,741.

The latest figures released from the Department of Health also show that a total of 22 patients with Covid-19 are being treated across the country’s hospitals.

While Ireland’s reopening project is now well underway, the UK took a major step on Saturday, with pubs all across Britain reopening from 6am this morning.

Meanwhile, further abroad, Florida reported 11,458 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, shattering its record for daily reported cases. To date, the state health department has reported a total of 190,052 cases.
