A 20-year-old Irish man has died in the city of Zadar in Croatia after suffering a fall.
According to Croatian newspaper Index.Hr, the city's police received a report at 4.45am on Thursday (7 July) of a male body being found at the Queen Jelena Madijevka Park.
The outlet also states that, upon arrival at the scene, police officers determined the man's nationality and that he had died as a result of a fall from a height.
The County State Attorney's Office in Zadar has since ordered an autopsy to establish the exact cause of death.
In a statement to JOE, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said it is aware of the case and is providing consular assistance.
