Around 200,000 people around Ireland took part in Darkness Into Light on Saturday morning in a fundraising walk in aid of Pieta House The walk starts in the early morning while it’s still dark, and participants walk for 5km into the light of day, a symbolic act representing the road to a brighter future for suffering people. In a piece yesterday, it was described as "a journey from despair to hope." https://twitter.com/PietaHouse/status/1127143687992090624 Starting at 4.15am, walkers assembled across over 150 venues in Ireland and in other countries.
