A drastic increase in the amount of cases confirmed.
28 more people have died in relation to Covid-19 in Ireland.
As well as that, the Department of Health has announced that there has also been 936 new confirmed cases, bringing the total number of cases to 17,607.
This increase represents the third biggest daily increase in confirmed cases in Ireland so far.
The most recent figures have found that there are 2231 known cases in nursing homes, where 195 have been hospitalised.
361 deaths have occurred among residents of nursing homes.
As of Thursday evening, 142 people remain in intensive care in relation to coronavirus.
Chief Medical Officer Doctor Tony Holohan spoke on Thursday evening, saying that there has been an increase in movement and vehicular traffic over the past number of days.
Once again, Holohan urged people to abide by the current restrictions, insisting that there is absolutely no reason why movement and traffic should have increased recently, as safety measures have not been lifted.
He urged people not to assume that the restrictions will be lifted on 5 May, saying; "It will take very little indeed for us to lose the good work we have done."

Earlier on Thursday, Minister for Health Simon Harris announced that the reproductive rate has fallen even further to between 0.5 and 1, saying: "The next 12 days matter and what you do matters. Stay the course and stay at home."
