382 homes without electricity after a fire in Dublin

Carl Kinsella

The ESB is working to restore power to almost 400 homes in West Dublin on Wednesday afternoon after a fire caused a power outage.

The fire struck an ESB box on Blackditch Road, resulting in a loss of power for hundreds of homes in the Ballyfermot area.

The Dublin Fire Brigade has since confirmed that they are on the scene and putting the fire out.

The estimated restore time, according to ESB’s powercheck.ie, is 22:15 later on tonight.

UPDATE: It has since been reported that these homes will not have electricity until Thursday evening.
